On August 14th Angella Goran started out from Victoria, BC on her bike tour across Canada in support of the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Bike for Wildlife campaign. Together with sponsor Burnbrae Farms, Angella is encouraging you to get out, get active and lead a healthy lifestyle with diet and exercise. I’ve been following along Angella’s journey on Twitter and the events taking place along her journey, such as the Burnbrae Farms Eggsplore Outdoors contest, since she began. I have BIGGER news; Angella is making her way through Saskatchewan and stopping at a few local events and schools to help educate folks on the program.
Moose Jaw, You’re Invited
On September 13th, Angella will start her day off with a CTV Morning Live Skype Interview at 6:35 am, make her way on a tour of the Shorebird Observation Centre in Chaplin beginning at 10 am and is later set to attend a BBQ hosted for Bike for Wildlife in the Moose Jaw Wakamow Valley Kiwanis River Park from 4 – 7 pm CST. The local public is invited to grab a bite and take part in the ride, walk or run around the oval. To follow up, Angella will meet with Moose Jaws own Mayor Higgins at 9 am CST at the Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre.
That’s a busy schedule but as a local who has supported the endagered Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre, often visiting on field trips through the kids years in school; I appreciate the time Angella is setting aside to stop and support Moose Jaw.
If all works to schedule, plan on attending the BBQ with my family; will you be there?
Regina, You’re Invited
On September 14th Angella will leave Moose Jaw for Regina, making her way to a meet and greet with Mayor Fougere beginning at 2:30 pm, Royal SK Museum. From there she will meet at the Rider practice field at 5 pm and greet supporters before attending the BBQ sponsored by the Saskatchewan Outdoor Environmental Educators Association at the Neil Balkwill Centre at 6:30 pm.
