Give the Gift of Netflix Giveaway
Christmas is just around the corner and beyond the hustle of shopping and holiday activities, we love to sit back and relax at home as much as possible. This December our family has already been enjoying the usual snack platters, hot chocolate by the fire and gazing at the Christmas lights. Each week we enjoy family night full of board games but throughout the holiday season over the years it has become family tradition to cozy up together with a bowl of popcorn for nights of our favourite movie choices. This year Netflix has joined us in this family tradition offering evenings never short of movies that satisfy ever household movie-fanatic. Personally I love that I can take Netflix along with me anywhere via my wireless internet, smartphone, tablet, laptop or wireless TV; my holiday shopping trips with the kiddos just became easier with a little Netflix on my smartphone.
Canadian holiday traditions may be changing, as families are curling up to watch movies during the holiday season. According to a new survey from Netflix, over half (58 per cent) of households with children reported that they watch movies together during the holidays. Along with Holiday dinners, cooking, baking and shopping, watching TV and movies together is a new holiday tradition!
“The holidays can be a stressful time for Canadian bank accounts and it’s hard to find a great gift for under $10,” said Kowal. “At just $8 a month for unlimited TV and movies, gifting a Netflix subscription provides great value for gift-givers weary of going into the red this holiday season.”
Findings among gift givers from the Netflix survey:
- · Sixty-nine per cent think it’s hard to find a great gift at the last minute
- · Three quarters can name a gift under $10 they’d be happy to receive
- · Over three quarters say it’s possible to purchase a meaningful gift online
- · Sixty-nine per cent think it’s difficult to find a great last minute gift
- · Eighty-three per cent try to avoid crowds when holiday shopping
- · Forty-two per cent shop online to avoid crowds and lineups
Are you stuck for a unique gift idea this year for loved ones, friends or your kids teacher? Give a gift everyone will appreciate, the gift of Netflix with a Netflix gift card.
