Chocolate-Peanut Butter Bars and #HoneyBunchesofOats Coupon
We’ve all heard it before, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. As a mom to 5 kids I’m a firm believer that starting the day off right is the key to a successful, energized and happy day but I don’t always have time to make a breakfast from scratch. Like most kids, my kids want breakfasts that are quick and easy, usually that means a cereal full of sugar. On the days I just don’t have time, I look for nutritious cereals that are lower in sugar but tasty enough my kids will eat, full of authentic blends of grains like Honey Bunches of Oats, delicious flakes and granola clusters, with a touch of honey.
Halloween has swept by and many of us our feeling the effects of unhealthy foods.; for some you may have been able to resist the temptation. For me, from Thanksgiving through to New Years, farm life is about company, belly laughs and good food. The type of food that almost always ensures high sugar and high calories. Beginning in November I start planning my Christmas baking. I have my usual traditional not-so-healthy recipes, great in moderation but I’m always trying out healthier recipes to add to the list of favourites.
With crowds of 20 that make their way over for weekend appetizers, coffee treats and big meal desserts, I like to have baking on hand that I can easily make ahead and freeze for those pop in visits.
