TKLucky7 Challenge and 5K in Prizes
If you’ve been following along at all via my social media networks, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, you’ve been seeing a flurry of recipes flying out in real-time. If you don’t know what this is all about, I’m about to tell you why I’m extremely excited and honoured to be chosen to compete in this unique opportunity. I was selected as 1 of 7 food bloggers from across Canada to compete in the #TKLucky7 recipe challenge to become Canada’s next Thai Kitchen Ambassador but it’s not all about me; it’s more about you, $5000 worth. Keep reading.

Obviously I am honoured to be among the caliber of the other 6 Celebrity Food Blogger contestants, no pressure at all. Cough. The most exciting part is that I get to do what I already love to do, experiment in the kitchen and create new recipes that mix other cuisines with an Asian inspiration, easy recipes that anybody can make. Let’s get back to why it’s more about you.

As a reader I hope you enjoy what I have to offer here on This Lil Piglet. Whether it’s a giveaway, a piece about us building our house ourselves or a recipe straight from my kitchen, I hope you can appreciate the time spent and hard work that I put in to share with you. I don’t ask you for much, short of asking for a little feedback once in awhile, but I really would appreciate your support in this recipe challenge. What am I trying to say? I need you and I’m not beneath begging. I promise there is something in it for you; how about over $5000 worth of prizes? Keep reading.
What is #TKLucky7?
Starting Monday. January 6th, each of the 7 Celebrity Food Bloggers started letting their kitchen skills shine with one recipe creation each day for seven days. Each day I will share one of my creations with you in real-time, asking you what you think I’m making as I go until the big reveal at the end of the day, including a blog post with the complete recipe so you can make it yourself at home. There are a couple guidelines I am required to follow but my recipes are 100% my own creation. Often I like to say I wing it in the kitchen. Sure I follow a recipe but I find it fun to whip up a recipe completely from scratch based on an idea I have in my head and see it come to life through taste-testing and presentation. Through trial and error over years, I have learned what works and what doesn’t; let’s just say my style of cooking is bringing the flavour to food down on the farm in a global mashup, similar to what this challenge is all about.
Chinese New Year is quickly approaching and together with Thai Kitchen Canada, I’m helping to show you how you can celebrate Asian inspiration in your everyday cooking.
How can you help?
Unfortunately I cannot announce what the prizing is yet but the prizes are pretty fantastic, if I do say so. So how can you help? If you haven’t already been drooling along on my social networks, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, we’ve been playing a fun guessing game while I create each recipe. If you are drooling over the food images on this page, you can see all these recipes HERE or click on each image. Tomorrow I will cook up my final creation; I hope you follow along and tell me what your guess is as I go along.
Tomorrows recipe will complete my 7 recipe creations for this challenge and here’s where I need your help. Come Monday, January 13th – 19th, I will need your votes right on my Facebook page daily to help me win this competition. I cannot win it without you AND you will learn what prizes you can win just for voting for me. But that’s not all. After this first round of voting, the top 7 overall recipes with be announced and will need your votes again, assuming one or more of of my recipes makes the top 7. Fingers crossed!
Unfortunately to all my American friends, as much as I really appreciate your support on this, only Canadian votes will count BUT you can still help. The more you share the voting information on your social networks to any Canadian friends, fans or followers you have, the better chance I have to win this. Pretty please with a cherry on top?
What do I win?
I have been asked this question already so let me explain. After all my hard work in this challenge I have to admit it would be an honour to be crowned with the title of the next Thai Kitchen Brand Ambassador, a title for products I already use and love in my cooking would be the perfect fit.
Stick around and please, please, please support me by voting for my recipes starting January 13th on my Facebook page. More information about prizing, voting, rules ad regulations coming soon. If you are not a Facebook page fan yet, click that like button over at the This Lil Piglet Facebook Page now so you don’t miss anything.
