Capturing the Finer Details with FUJIFILM Review and Over $1000 Giveaway

We’ve been beekeepers for a couple years now and as much as it is hard work, it’s a very interesting and rewarding job. Bees are amazing creatures; the process of building a beehive to a thriving environment rich with honey is very educational to witness. Recently we wrapped up our first honey harvest and I wanted to document these beautiful insects in pictures with my new zoom lens, the FUJIFILM FUJINON LENS XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II so you could see the detail without me having to get my face up close and personal with the buzzing bees.

I’m not a very technically savvy person when it comes to the nitty-gritty details of a lens but I know what I want in a picture and I also know I want it to be easy. Ever since I received my FUJIFILM X-A2 Digital Camera, I have been in love with it. It’s a super easy point-and-shoot camera that takes the guesswork out of photography for the average user like me. The lens is perfect for all life’s special moments and I cannot say enough great things about it but there are moments where you want a lens to go just that much further when you can’t get as close as you’d like. The FUJINON LENS XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II lens does this with ease.

Rather than go into the technical details of the difference between the lenses, let me show you what I mean. I took a series of photos from the same spot, the first photo with the FUJIFILM X-A2 Digital Camera kit lens (XC16-50mm lens) and the second with the FUJINON LENS XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II lens.

Intricate Detail

As much as I wanted to take a full activity shot of beekeeper activities, I also wanted to take a closeup shot of the bees to show how many bees there truly are. The closeup was taken on the sport setting because the bees can’t be told to sit still. Despite their listening skills, it’s pretty amazing to have the ability to close in this tightly and retain the crisp intricate detail from the same location just by changing a lens to the FUJINON zoom LENS XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II lens.

Grab the Action

Alpacas and action is almost a humorous pairing; if you know anything about alpacas, they are definitely full of character but they aren’t especially action-packed. Their character is easily frozen in time, from a distance; the closer you get the more they want to either turn away or come towards you, depending on their mood of the day. Alpacas are always on alert and the FUJINON LENS XC50-230mmF4.5-6.7 OIS II lens makes it easy to showcase the concern in their eyes.

Portrait Friendly

A zoom lens is great to have for more detailed photography but everyday life calls for grabbing lasting memories in photos without disturbing the flow. To catch the natural personality of your family members without calling attention to it and changing the look of the photo is a challenge met with a sneaky zoom lens. Anyone who has a teen knows that although they are selfie crazy, when the mom brings out the camera they suddenly become extremely shy. A call of a name and a push of the capture button on the continuous setting with the FUJINON LENS XC50-230mmF4.5-6.7 OIS II lens, grabs that perfect shot. Look, she’s even smiling. Smirk.

If you are looking for a great camera without all the guesswork and want to take it up a notch for those up close and personal moments, the FUJIFILM X-A2 Digital Camera and the added XC50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS II telephoto zoom lens are all you will need. These are the perfect combination for all those special photo-worthy moments from the everyday to the more intricate. Add on the advanced settings for a pop of colour and you’ll have hours of fun creating your on photo masterpieces.
