Christmas Snoop Proof Tips and 2018 Top Toys
The Christmas season is my favourite time of year. Between Christmas songs, tree decorating and giving just the right gift, I love the closeness and Christmas Magic my family feels sharing these experiences. From the day after Remembrance Day through to Christmas, it’s safe to say a visit to Canadian Tire inspires me with decorating and entertaining ideas and showcases the hottest 2018 top toys for the little ones. My kids, well, their eyes are always wide with excitement as we make our way through the aisles. It is truly Canada’s Christmas Store.

2018 Top Toys – What’s on your list?
This year, I put my Christmas tree up early, adorning it with a few new adorable ornaments. Last year I couldn’t help myself and bought the largest snowflake ornaments I could find at Canadian Tire; with a 9.5’ tree, these snowflakes are the perfect fit. But that’s just me, my kids had their own top toys Christmas lists. I never seem to know what their must-have toys are, so I looked to Canada’s Christmas Store. I knew right away that the PAW Patrol Ultimate Rescue Fire Truck and Pomsies™ Wearable Pom-Pom Pets would bring giddy smiles to their faces, but with so many options it’s hard to decide. That’s why I checked the online Toy Finder for additional ideas.
Paw Patrol is my son’s favourite show right now, so when he saw this fire truck on TV, he was a little more than excited; and that was before he pushed the interactive buttons with lights and sirens when he saw it in person. This was my first visit to Canadian Tire this season, but definitely wasn’t my last. It’s my trusted source for all my holiday 2018 top toys, entertaining and decorating needs.
Christmas Present Snoop Proof Tips
With excited little ones and beautifully wrapped gifts beneath the tree, it’s hard to keep them from the wonder of what’s inside. Here are some Christmas present Snoop Proof Tips from Canadian Tire to help you keep the magic under wraps for Christmas morning:
- Under the Tree: throw them off and hide their gifts in plain sight right under the Christmas tree. Just make sure you mislabel the gifts and get creative with names. They won’t think to peek at gifts addressed to Grandma. (This one is a personal favourite!)
- Kitchen freezer: ask your butcher for an extra length of clean butcher paper to wrap and store any cold-resistant gifts in the freezer, labelling them as your kid’s least favourite foods (i.e. pork chops).
- Empty Cereal Box: Grab a box of cereal that your children are sure to hate. Open it from the bottom, remove the cereal bag and slide the gift into the empty box. Tape it closed, put it back on the shelf and voila – the gift is hidden right under their nose.
- Laundry Basket: fold a stack of old towels and secure them to a lid of a laundry basket. This will give the appearance of a full basket. With plenty of room inside, this is a great option for larger gifts.
