Mix in remaining ingredients with a wooden or plastic spoon to avoid mashing the chickpeas, stir well.
Spread mixed chickpeas over a baking pan in a single layer.
Bake at 450 degrees F for 30 minutes, stirring a couple times between to avoid burning.
Let cool completely before eating.
Notes
Depending on the oven you may want to decrease the temp to 425 F; just keep watch to make sure they aren't burning; stirring occasionally will help avoid that.
**If you want them a little sweeter, sprinkle another 1 tsp of brown sugar over the cooked chickpeas right after they are out of the oven.**
