Serves: 12
  • 3 ripe medium apples, peeled and cored
  • 500 g ripe strawberries, stem removed
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 2 drops of Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil (or ¼ tsp of cinnamon spice)
  1. Preheat dehydrator to 135 degrees F. OR oven to 170 degrees F.
  2. In a blender, place all the ingredients and puree.
  3. If you are adding in Cinnamon Bark essential oil instead of cinnamon spice, put drops and stir into the mixture in a glass bowl to avoid the plastic of the blender jug taking on the scent of the oil.
  4. Pour onto a dehydrator tray with plastic wrap on top wrapping plastic around edges of tray. Pour mixture evenly over the tray about ¼ inch thick, thinner in the middle & thicker at the edges.
  5. Place in a dehydrator for 12 hours or until fruit leather has a pliable chewy leather texture but not hard and breakable. *If you're dehydrating in the oven, spread mixture over a plastic wrap lined baking pan (tape the edges down around the pan). Dehydrate in the oven for approximately 10 hours on 170 degrees F. in your oven or until fruit leather is a pliable chewy leather texture, as described above.
  6. Lift the plastic edges from the pan and cool completely before trying to peel it off the plastic. Once cooled, roll an wrap in plastic wrap.
  7. Make ahead and store at room temperature for up to 1 month, in the refrigerator for up to 3 months or in the freezer for up to 1 year. Warm to room temperature before serving.
