Skin MD Review and Giveaway

Congratulations to winner/comment #57!

I’m a bit of a skeptic when it comes to the results many skin care companies claim to provide.  I have my favorites and do not sway from the brands that I have used for years.  Mainly because I have combination skin and I find most products to become too oily once on my skin which results in acne or skin bumps that I have a heck of a time getting rid of, especially products used on the face.

Recently I was asked to review Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion.  I was leery of trying it for the above reason and because any time a person starts using a new product it takes time for the skin to get used to it and for me this results in acne.  This is why I do not change products.  I’m kind of a stickler on the subject.

For awhile now I have been noticing bumps on my skin that don’t go away no matter what I try.  I’ve had bumps on my arms before but they usually go away.  I have been faithful to a certain brand of skin care since I was 19 and up until Baby Girl was born my regular skin care regimen has kept my skin healthy.  Since Baby Girl’s birth I have had bumps on my arms that do not go away no matter what I try.  I’m a little self conscious about these bumps; I used to have nice skin.  It seems the older I get the more problems I have with my skin, you’d think I was a teenager for goodness sake.  Possibly the hormones have had a lot to do with the change in my skin but after a year, one would think that the hormones would level back out and my skin would go back to normal, especially after discontinuing nursing months ago.  Beyond hormones, I then thought it might be the soap I was using but I’ve been using the same brand of soap for more years than I have been using my  facial skin care products.  None of my products have changed.  The only other thing I thought was that possibly after using a product for so long, your skin develops a sensitivity to it.  I have developed several allergies, mostly hay fever, over the last few years, this year being the worst for some reason.  This also might be a stretch.

To be honest, I received the Skin MD samples a little while ago and have been afraid to try a new product on my skin but because I was already battling these bumps on my arms, I figured now was a good a time as any to try something new.  I first tried the Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion on my face after a shower.  I noticed better results immediately to the tone and feel of my skin.  I liked the results so much that the next application was all over my body.  Amazingly after the first application I already noticed a decrease in the amount of bumps on my arms, bumps which have not gone away with anything else I’ve tried.  Most skin care lotions that I have tried end up feeling oily on my skin, even if they are supposedly non-oily.  Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion was not oily at all, either on my skin or my hands after application.  The lotion went on light and ended up feeling slightly like a smooth powder would feel on the skin but fully moisturized in one application.  Now that it is summer, Skin MD also offers a SPF 15 Natural Shielding Lotion for daily protection.

I have applied Skin MD a few times now and each time, I notice my skin becomes more soft, less dry, the tone looks more even and the best part for me is the bumps on my arms are almost completely gone.  I can’t believe it!  I’m ecstatic about the results; I cannot say enough great things about this product.  If you are looking for a better skin care product or nothing else seems to be working for your skin; get your free sample from Skin MD.  I’m confident that you will not be disappointed.

Full product description:
A shielding lotion does the real work to prevent dry skin in two ways.  First, it assists the inner layers of skin to absorb moisture. The humectant (an ingredient that attracts moisture) used in Skin MD Natural is unique to it and has been laboratory tested to be 6 times more effective than any other you will find in common creams.  Second, a shielding lotion enhances the power of the top layer of the skin to resist environmental irritants while protecting the inner natural moisture.  This can be a big benefit for those who cook, wash dishes and garden because Skin MD Natural helps skin retain its natural moisture and oils in the face of all those irritating soaps and chemicals.
